Ashley holds the record for most reschedules due to weather! We had been trying to plan her portrait session for over 5 months before we were able to shoot because every date that we scheduled had a sudden random rainstorm so we had to keep pushing her session out over and over. But when her shoot finally fell on a sunny day, it was as though the stars aligned and we got the most perfect afternoon to capture lots of beautiful pictures of her! Ashley is an incoming freshman at Granite Bay High and an aspiring actress, so she wanted to capture natural images that she could use for headshots and to showcase different looks. We started the session with professional makeup by Jess at Polish and Pout. People often think that they may not need makeup for natural=looking images, but that’s actually one of the most important looks that requires a good professional makeup artist because they know the right makeup to apply to even out skin tone and give the face a little color so as not to look washed out in the natural sunlight. This is one of my favorite sessions to showcase light makeup that makes our client look polished and glowing, perfect for a 14-year old girl! Here are Ashley’s favorite images, which she chose for her beautiful heirloom album!
