Zayna is a senior at Bella Vista High School in Roseville, California, and is friends and neighbors with Francesca, whose session you can view here. I’ve photographed Francesca for a couple of years and adore her, so when she referred Zayna to me I was super excited to get to work with a friend of hers! Zayna is such a sweet, relaxed girl and is so lovely that she doesn’t need a stitch of makeup – and we found out that she never wears any! Because of that we kept the makeup very natural and neutral, and even though it felt really heavy and dramatic to Zayna at first, it’s amazing how much color/makeup is absorbed in natural light. That’s why even the most natural looks need the perfect amount of makeup to showcase that fresh faced, barely-there look that girls like Zayna love! Here are some of her favorites from our shoot!
