One-on-One Mentoring Sessions
One of the things I enjoy most as a photographer is my mentoring program. I have given several workshops for groups of photographers that are fast paced and a lot of fun, but being able to focus on one-on-one time with a talented, up and coming photographer is truly inspiring. I love sharing my knowledge in a more personal and thorough way.
My program is an all inclusive, start-to-finish experience that allows us to work together side by side for the entire process. This is not just a portfolio build (although these pictures will be a great addition!), but also a chance for you to have access to the top stylists and models in the area, and to really explore more of your creativity and talent.
How it works:
Portfolio review: This is the first step in the mentoring process and introduces me to you and your photographic style. I love taking the time to get to know your strengths, and to see what amazing work you’ve produced before. We will talk about your use of natural light, styling, posing and much more!
Brainstorming: This is the first part of the creative process! After your portfolio review, we will brainstorm about genres and styles that will improve your portfolio with tons of new images. You will choose from a selection of models, and we can discuss all the fun details of the shoot: location, make up, hair, and styling, and overall feel.
Styling: On the day of the shoot, we will have a hair stylist and make-up artist team on set with us to perfect and enhance the images you’ve envisioned.
Shooting: Once we get to the location, we will take the time to find the best lighting and learn how to get the most out of a location. I will show you how to guide the model into natural and beautiful poses, while making it fun and comfortable for everyone. This will be a chance for you to ask any questions about my shooting process (or anything in general!) and get all my tips and tricks! Every part of my mentoring program is packed with information, and us shooting together is the time to soak in everything there is to be learned, and of course to have a ton of fun!
Post-processing: At the end of our shoot, we will go through the images and work on the Photoshop editing together. I will show you how I achieve a clean and natural look in my images, and how to enhance the beautiful images you’ve taken to achieve the look you want.
