Megan is such a thoughtful, soft-spoken girl and when I met her, I was instantly drawn to her sweet personality. Her mom had reached out to me about capturing portraits of her that showed her beautiful spirit, which is what I love most about portrait photography! I think people often assume that the images they see on my website are of girls who are models, or outgoing, or impossibly perfect, when in fact they’re all just girls who want to be portrayed as their best possible selves. Most of us have insecurities or things they struggle with, so when I get the chance to work with someone who is shy in front of the camera, I know exactly how they feel and I love showing them how beautiful they truly are! I’m so happy that I was able to do that for Megan and her mama, and love these images they chose for her album, which we photographed in Auburn a few days before Christmas – a sunny day that marked a lovely ending to the 2016 season!
At the beginning of Megan’s session, her sweet mom surprised her with a gift of these gorgeous graduated pearls. Aren’t they beautiful?
