January and February in Northern California aren’t the most popular months for senior portraits, but in many ways they should be! Why? Because what other months of the year can you capture a blooming field of wildflowers AND a snowy winter wonderland in the same hour? It’s true: the wildflowers are starting to bloom in the foothills of Auburn and Newcastle, and the snow is just a short 30-minute drive away in the beautiful Tahoe National Forest! We took full advantage of this for Faith’s session so that she could get a fun variety of looks in just one day! From flowers to snow, we also managed to squeeze in a fun little red Abercrombie dress at a museum in Auburn, which had cute backdrops of white and brick buildings.
Props to the amazing creative team on this shoot: the pretty flower headband was created by Shannon of Flourish Designs // Faith’s makeup is by Jill of Beauty Box Makeup Arts // and hairstyling by Krystle Tanton. Take a peek at some of our faves, below!
